we were on our way to Damascus
bounty hunters for the priest
persecuting those who followed Jesus Christ
all at once a Light shone from heaven
it was brighter than the day
we hit the ground with fear and dismay
why oh why do you persecute Me?

our leader Saul started asking questions
but not of those who were around
he couldn’t see so we helped him into town
showing caution Ananias met us
telling Saul about the Son
a few days later Paul was preaching to everyone
